A Good Problem to Have

Brass folding side table with glass tray top. Beautiful!!! -75

Retail is really hard for lots of reasons, which is a whole 'nother blog post (series!)

Doing creative work in a retail environment is a whole 'nother beast because you have to constantly produce.

Let me pause and say how amazing is it to be paid to do what you love? I love that I can use my hands and create something beautiful. I love that my creations find good homes. I love that I am spreading some beauty around in the world. I love that people love what I do.

And this brings me full circle to this little problem I have.  And it is truly a "good problem to have" as we often say around the shop. I'm pretty sure Alison of The Modern Cottage Co. coined this phrase way back when.

My stuff is selling faster than I can keep up with. Demand is WAY outpacing supply and I'm going to have a busy painting week ahead of me. Again. So are the other gals. I think Alison sold 2/3 of her inventory in one day. Poor gal! Merri of Nest sold a ton today too.  I was ready to close up the store at 3 PM today (we didn't and we kept selling, selling, selling) because I was worried we wouldn't have anything left in the store for Saturday!

Here are some photos of the space and what is in the store. Here today, gone tomorrow! And I'm not even kidding.

I need to go outside and paint some more.

Grey dresser with silver knobs. Super chalky and so beautiful. Very large. Well made. There is a matching low boy that goes with this. Tall boy and low boy are 250 each.

Antique mahogany bench for two adults.  Beautiful detailing. -400

Medium side table. Frenchy Gray Trio Collection. 150
